Hi everyone,
Our freezers are full again! We've restocked our individual grass-fed cuts on our website, so if you'd like to pick up some grass-fed beef without committing to a bulk order, now is a great time to stock up. We will also be adding a few new products to the website soon. So stay tuned!
Here's what's in stock right now:
- Steaks: ribeye (bone-in), New York strip, filet mignon, T-bone, porterhouse, top sirloin, flank, and hanging tender
- Roasts: chuck roast (bone-in), rump roast, and sirloin tip roast
- Stew meat, soup bones, and oxtail
- Liver & marrow bones (some new boat cut options coming to the website very soon)
About that ground beef
Back in July I mentioned ground beef was going fast. It went! Our grass-fed ground beef and patties are sold out for now. We may have more grass-fed ground beef toward the end of November, once we look over our cow herd as we wean this year's calves. I'll let you know as soon as we do.
In the meantime, we do have ground beef available, with one difference you should know about.
This year we bought a Hereford bull to breed our cows. Unfortunately, he didn't work out as a herd bull, so we had him processed into ground beef. He was raised conventionally on another farm, including some grain, so his beef doesn't fully meet our 100% grass-fed standards. While at our farm for a few months he was only on pasture.
We never sell beef like this as grass-fed. Instead, we offer it separately, clearly labeled as conventional, and at a lower price than our grass-fed ground beef:
- 1-1/2 lb packages: $8.49/lb
- 20-pack (30 lb): $239.70, which works out to $7.99/lb and saves you $15
It's a limited supply, so once it's gone, it's gone.
If you have questions about how we handle beef that falls outside our grass-fed standards, see our Beef FAQ or How We Farm pages.
As always, feel free to reach out with any questions!
