Hi everyone,

We hope you had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We have updated our initial prices and availability dates for 2024 for our bulk beef (1/4, 1/2, wholes) on our website store.  We may add some additional dates/inventory in the coming weeks once we see how many people reserve their meat in January.

Why reserve your meat now?

First, we're offering a discount if you reserve your bulk beef by January 14th

The more you reserve the larger the discount (applied when we bill you the final amount when the beef is ready):

  • Quarter - $50
  • Half - $125
  • Whole - $250

We know that freezer space and budgets can be tight.  Booking now will offset some of that large beef purchase by paying the deposit now and getting this discount applied on the balance due when the meat is ready for pickup/delivery.  If you have additional questions we may have answered we may have already answered it in our FAQ.

Second, you're helping us out.  One of the hardest parts of direct marketing is planning our butcher schedule to match the timing of your need and ensuring the animal is ready to be butchered.  The earlier you reserve your beef the easier it is for us plan and adjust our butcher dates accordingly.

Also, if you are running out of beef and need to fill in before your next bulk butchering date we will be adding individual cuts/small bundles to the website in just a few weeks.   This meat is available for pickup at a new storage location we have in La Crosse, Wisconsin.  If you need meat now feel free to reach out now and we can help you out immediately.

Lastly, an update on the farm.  This time of year all of our cattle are in our valley pastures to help protect them from the winter weather, provide easy access to water in our stream (which doesn't freeze like our water pipes would) and make it easier for us to provide hay.  Below is an image I took this past week of the cattle that will be butchered in 2024 as well as the calves which will be ready in 2025.
